Versa®

Versa is a dermal filler that utilizes hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance within the body, to address facial wrinkles and creases, particularly in areas like nasolabial folds. Injecting Versa® into the facial tissue helps smooth out these wrinkles and create a more youthful appearance. The FDA approves This treatment for cosmetic purposes in individuals aged 22 and above seeking to correct facial wrinkles and creases.

However, there are important considerations to keep in mind:

  1. Adverse Reactions: If you experience redness, pain, or swelling that persists for a week or more after receiving Versa®, you should inform your provider immediately.
  2. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not undergo Versa® treatment due to potential safety concerns.
  3. Skin Conditions: Individuals with certain skin conditions, such as scars at the treatment sites, acne, or inflammatory skin diseases like rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis, should not receive this treatment.
  4. Allergic History: If you have a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), heightened immune responses to allergens, latex allergy, or allergy to hyaluronic acid products, Versa® might not be suitable for you.
  5. Acute or Chronic Skin Issues: Those with acute or chronic skin diseases, infections, unhealed wounds on the face, or undergoing anticoagulant, antiplatelet, or bleeding disorder treatments should avoid Versa®.
  6. Concurrent Treatments: Versa® should not be used alongside laser treatments, intense pulsed light, chemical peeling, dermabrasion, OTC wrinkle products, or prescription wrinkle treatments within 4 weeks prior to treatment, as this could increase the risk of infection at the treatment site.

It’s essential to consult with a qualified medical professional to determine if Versa® is suitable for your specific situation and to discuss any potential risks and benefits associated with the treatment.
